Hello! I have a pair of blue peacocks, the hen has just started laying, I have 2 eggs in the bator now with veining on day 4. I have 2 more eggs now that I would like to sell and a possiblity of 1-2 more? Since she is just starting I'm not sure, last year she layed 4-6 then took a 2 week break and started again. I hatched out 15 chicks. This year I'ld like to sell the eggs.
There is a purple pair in with them but the blue pair is the older pair 4yrs on the hen(she was 3 when I bought her 2008 christmas) and about 6yrs on the cock(I've had him for 3 years and he was totally tail feathered when I got him). The purple pair I raised from eggs not related. The hen is just 3 this july and the male is 4 now. I am planning to separate the pairs this weekend.

Again I fairly sure these are blue -blue male is dominant.

OK I want in on some of this action. I will get pictures tomorrow. All of our chickens are kept seperately to keep them purebred. We have Golden Laced Polish, White Rocks, Barred Rocks, Buff Brahmas, and Silkies (white, and partridge). We also have the barnyard bunch. The blue Cochin Roo runs the yard with another black cochin hen, splash cochin hen, aracauna hen, 2 barred rock hens.
But I wanted to make sure I posted to mark this page. You will be hearing from me when I see what eggs I may have.
