Crazy jumping chickens!

I have my 5 week old chickens in my garage in a pen that is about 2.5 ft tall. Well They have figured out that if you jump on top of the feeder, they can jump on the side of the pen! So now they are roosting on the top! I am thinking if they can take the temperature out there they are probably ready for the coop! crazy chickens!

they are probably not quiet ready with this winter being so cold. It is one thing to jump around and cool off when you have a place to warm up when you need it. Maybe put some netting on the top for the meantime.

All we ended up doing was putting a ramp back up to the box so if they fall off they can get back in!

Yep, my chicks were just a couple of weeks old when they decided that they much preferred to roost on the 2 ft. high draft guard rather than in their brooder:
