my eldest son's dog doesn't know his bad rap breed reputation and we aren't about to change that, he's saying in this pic: "Come on Dad, we're ready for a snack and then play iside..." See the sad looks on his friends faces? We're really hungry and heard he has some neat toys...

I have a hen that would rather hang with the ducks than the other chickens. It's so sad when they go in the pool and she just has to sit there and watch!

The chickens want to like the cats, but the cats are terrified. The dogs and cats love each other. The dogs love the chickens but ignore the ducks. We're all pretty much just one big happy family!

Josie the cat loves the chickens so much she takes turns sitting on their eggs so they can go get breakfast!

My dogs and chickens get along. If my dogs are out laying out in the sun the chickens will come 'groom' them. Watch out ticks!
I have seen the dogs & chickens eating out of the same dish with some frequency, especially at oatmeal treat time;but I also have one dog that seems to have an occasional affinity for scratch.

I have an old lab who has gotten mean over the years and has bit 3 people so he is on a chain now.

For some reason he likes chickens and they like him , I was so worried when I saw them in his reach I thought it was over right then and he sniffed the chicken and laid back down.

now my chickens stand outside his dog house door and scratch it up and make crazy noises at him and he doesnt even pick his head up

It's amazing how some animals don't seem to mind them at all, and others see nothing but a yummy snack.

Love the pics everyone

I have a greyhound that loves it when the chickens crowd around me while I'm gardening & are relatively still so he can stick his nose into their feathers and sniff their bums.
