Jinx my handsome one eyed Buff Brahma bantam is a weirdo.
I had a rooster prior who turned evil and I found him a good home. he was a d'uccle so I have experience with why roosters are the way they are.

Jinx and Bob my Mille fleur bearded D'uccle bantam both went trough a trama (raccoon and why jinx has one eye)

Jinx has always been a spaz since he was hatched, which kind of gave it away he was a roo. Now he wants to be with me, loves me to hold him, but haaaaates when I put my hands toward him. he has grabbed my hand so hard that while he was grabbing onto my hand with his beak he was pushing his feet off my hand. like i didn't even have to hold him, he was holding himself up with his beak attached to my hand.
once I held him he was happy as a clam.. wacko.
if I am sitting down in the coop, talking to them all ya know like I am sure everyone does LOL. he comes over to me and just likes to be with me. sometimes he will sit on me other times just hang.
Same with bob, bob is less skiddish though.

They really are sweet but I don't want them to turn into how my other roo was. (I wasn't prepared for a roo and it was the first time I had one)

I just ignore when he grabs my hand, then talk to him hold him what have you.. you think this is the correct route to go with him so he doesn't try to attack me like my last roo did?

thanks all

Unfortunately, if you keep up your closeness with this "weird" roo, and let him dictate to you without establishing boundaries, he's eventually going to become confused and anxious after he becomes hormonal and discovers that he's very attracted to hens.

However, the day of reckoning may not arrive if you have no hens. This is an important piece of information you've left out. Another helpful piece of information would be to know how old he is and if you plan for him to head up a flock.

I have one hen .. but she is a standard breed and much larger . She is a nh red
They have been flirting with her as they are hitting puberty.

I have some chicks due to hatch tomorrow hoping they are females
Poor guys need some more girls
