I have a rhode island red that i need to cull, because of CRD. I was wondering if it would be safe to eat, or do I have to burn it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I had two sick with suspected CRD, and they have both recovered. I gave them Tylan 50 (injected)and all kinds of treats, yogurt, applesauce, and other things they love. My rooster took a bit longer than my hen, but they are great now! Rember CRD is something that wild birds can give your flock, so the only way to keep your chickens 100% free of it is by having them in a place where they don't have any outside contact! Plus this is passed threw the egg, so how many do not have this in their flock? This is why I did not cull!

I am sure people will disagree, but I really love my roo, and just had to save him. Plus how did I know it was REALLY CRD?
