My poor chicken got bitten by a dog a few weeks ago. I treated her and she was healing. Well I thought she was healing fine but this morning she had poo and blood, thought she had an egg break inside. I cleaned her up and found this. Any ideas.

I'm sorry about your hen.

Yes, I agree it looks like a prolapse. The color is concerning to me, is she expelling any poop too? Even if its watery poop.

Good suggestions from @MarlaMac keep the tissue coated with ointment, oil, raw honey, etc. whatever you have to keep it from drying out.
I'd also give the Calcium once daily.

You may also find that applying some warm compresses might help too. Soak a rag in warm epsom salts water and just gently press it against the tissue, hold it there for a few minutes, then repeat. If possible try the warm compresses at least a couple of times a day for a few days, see if that makes a difference. When you're done, of course, coat the tissue with your ointment/oil of choice.

Thank you. I wonder if the cause is internal injury due to the dog attack? I just dont know if its kinder to put her out of her misery? So difficult to judge.
