CRD & Gapeworm

Have you had any confirmed cases of gapeworms? If not, I think you might be dealing with respiratory infections. I strongly suggest that you start getting routine fecals done and treat accordingly. If you are losing birds, it would be best to have a necropsy done and find out exactly what you're up against.

I've noticed in my pheasants that other respiratory symptoms mimic gapes. That's one reason to have tests preformed.

Exactly... and I had gapes mimic respiratory... :he

It does, and I was just sharing some necropsy pictures with some BYC folks. Pictures revealed two lungs full of pus. Interestingly, this hen had no eye or nasal discharge.

Hen belonged to a friend who sent me a video of the hen gasping for air and while we were trying to figure out how to treat her she died.

Yep, That's why it's important to have tests done. Problem is most peeps don't want to spend the $$ for tests. You can ask all the questions you want on a forum and get just as many answers and recommended treatments but unless you do tests it's just a "shot in the dark".
Had to edit for auto correct.
