I have this adorable Brabanter Cockerel available for $10 obo.

Hatched by incubator on April 16, he is fifteen weeks old.

He has started crowing, but is still fairly infrequent, usually morning and bedtime.

He free-ranges during the day with his two girls as well as my older flock, and has moved from the brooder coop to the big coop at nighttime.

Pickup in Kirkland (or delivery might be arranged for an extra fee depending on location.)

About Brabanters:

The Standard lists the Netherlands as the Brabanter’s Country of origin; however, other literature states that this could be an ancient breed dating back further than these claims suggest.

There are paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries that show birds very similar to Brabanters.

Around the beginning of the 20th century they were nearly extinct in the Netherlands, but were recreated from different German breeds. This breed is closely related to Owl Beards and has been crossed with them for the breed’s survival in the past.

While they are Ornamental they are also bred for their production of white eggs, which they lay fairly regularly. Their eggs can be white white or slightly tinted.

The American Poultry Association has not yet recognized Cream and Gold Brabanters as a Standard Breed of Fowl.
