In May we purchased 13 cream legbar, 3 partridge Cochins and one bielefelder roo. I have lost 6 of the 13 cream legbar chicks. Most appear to be thriving and then become listless and die. Two have had one leg paralysis then die. They were vaccinated. Any ideas? We have had chickens for years and this has us at a loss. It’s odd that it’s all one breed.

The two with leg paralysis stopped growing
Sorry to hear you're losing birds.
Really the only way to know for sure what's causing their decline would be to send a body to your state lab for testing.

It's just a guess on my part, but if you are losing only one breed, then it's possible that your problem is genetic. Paralysis and stunted growth could still be Marek's even though birds were vaccinated. The vaccine helps stop the formation of tumors, but does not prevent infection from the virus.
