Cream legbar roo won't crow

well you usually look for hackle or saddle feathers, yours has no hackle feathers, but it's questionable if I'm seeing saddle feathers, and it doesn't look over masculine, a crow or egg would confirm it, do you have other roosters, does this bird attempt to mate with your hens.

Here are some from this morning, hope it helps. Like I said, "it" is getting its feathers in now. Starting to see the brown feathers along its back and neck. It is very protective of the other hens, but it doesn't make a peep- ever.

Now I can see saddle feathers, rooster, he's probably young and unsure, he doesn't look confident, give him time.

He also looks more like a Cream Legbar in those pictures.

. If you breed him to brown egg layers you will get pullets that lay green eggs! And they will be Easter Eggers with a single comb and yellow legs, if you bred him to hens with single combs and yellow legs!

He's more likely about 14 to 16 weeks old. Those saddle feathers are just starting to come in. Just give him some time. Some boys don't start crowing until well after 6 months old.

Though it occurred to me that he might be starting to crow and maybe you don't recognize those first squeaks as crows.
