Cream Legbar Rooster question

should i try and hatch out these green eggs? he is the one who fertilized them.... or should i just breed him with my blue egg laying Ameracauna? I am leaning toward doing that.....

If you dont have an incubator handy or a broody hen (probably not at this time of year) those eggs that she gave you may make a better meal :(. I am sorry I am not closer to you or I would take them and hatch them for you. I am not absolutely sure about the standard color egg, mine lays a clear blue egg but I know they are sometimes called blue/green so it may be subjective. Good luck with your roo and I am sure he will deliver for you.

Some lines have bluer eggs than others, I only kept and breed the bluest eggs when I first got mine. So I have very blue eggs, now.

You should be able to do that too.
They will make good "olive" eggers on the browns most the time.

Because chickens have a "standard" and not pedigrees, they are not really considered pure or not, but I know what you mean.

Many people might add "something" in now and then to get closer to the standards.
