Cream Legbar "Teenagers".....S

JUst wanted to thank you for your help in identifying the "odd one" of my chicks as a real C.L. Your info was better than the stuff I get with an AI!

Please lend me your experience again. One of the cream legbars is laying, but not in the eggspectant way...does very little but lay around..sometimes on her side, but totally docile. She eats with the others but we find her plopped down 90% of the time. The other three are off and running and so fun to watch them exploring the world!

They are now 5 months old so i was thinking she's thinking about laying an egg.? ..or lazy? Or narcoleptic?! Maybe just an underachiever?

Does her comb ever have a bluish color? Maybe one that comes and goes? Does she limp when she walks?

Eating is a good sign, but I am wondering if she does not have a genetic malfunction of some internal organ. Sometimes when they reach full size, and start to lay, the body cannot keep up with the internal problem. I would not expect this bird to live long, but I don't think there is anything you can do about it.

I just lost my one and only cream legbar. She was so sweet, it was heartbreaking. Mine had wry neck though. Hope yours fairs better.
