Any work on the SOP about the Chick Down coloration? in the UK(http://blue-eggs.co.uk/standard-for-cream-legbar/4554224408) this is the SOP for chicks, dont know if any of you are working on it Downs, Female (Cream) : Silver-grey type. The stripe should be very dark brown, extending over the head, neck and rump. The edges of the stripe should be clearly defined, not blurred and blending with ground colour - the sharper the contrast, especially over the rump the better. The stripe should be broad; a narrow or discontinuous stripe should be avoided. A light head patch should be visible, clearly defined in outline, showing up brightly against the dark background. Male : The down is much paler in tint, the pattern being blurred and washed out from head to rump; it may best be described as pale silvery-slaty.

Also you can see that no mention on the Male's headspot on the chickd down....

The pictures of the males I have seen have all had head spots I wonder why they don't mention it, unless it is because ideally they want the head spot to be so washed into the rest of the down that it is not reliably visible?

The APA doesn't have a chick down section, but it can be mentioned in the intro. If anyone wants the SOP draft in document form, feel free to PM me. It's also on my blog if you 'd prefer to copy it there. I'll have the shafting updates completed by Friday. Also, if you copy it from the CLC or GFF website move the intro from the end to the beginning.

@Darkangael: I'm still researching when the change happened...but the Cream Legbar started with down that resembled the Gold Legbar chicks but with "colder" brown than the Gold chicks (light dot on muted wild type pattern for boys/clear wildtype striping for girls) and now is labeled in the PCGB standard as that of the Silver Legbar (muted boy/clear wildtype girls on silver based down).
