Cream Legbar Working Group: Standard of Perfection

Sorry for your loss. Some of mine need to go there too...... IMO - the rooster in the middle in that picture really has "it".

ETA are they unrealated? For my flock it is too light -- but the stance and the type and the comb etc. very nice bird.

I agree. They are both very nice, I do like the middle one also very much. He was the one in your avatar?

anac1979 you should consider joining the Cream Legbar Club! Enrollment for next year is all set up - the link to the website in my signature can get you to the website...and the 06 Enrollment in the left column of the home page will take you to the enrollment page. :O)

These birds are unrelated the older big one is gone he went crazy. the younger one I have now I always like to have a under study a back up. I had these birds in the same pen and the older one was the boss naturally and one day the rolls switch the younger one was now the boss I didn't know way. I had them free ranging one day came out to see the younger chasing the big one around no fight now these are both young birds the older just fell out and down and could not get up I put him up and he could not stand up just flapping around not on his feet. He went CRAZY so I put him down. He was the best one I have had so far close the s.o.p. I do have one pullet out of him.

Both of you males have good color, but the one on the right of my comparison pic(I just used paint for such comparison) has more Type and the Grey Barring on hackle and saddle is much better than the one on the left, the one on the left seems to be too devoided of barring on saddle and hackle, both lack Barring on Wing secondaries, but if I had to chose a breeder I would chose the one on the right, maybe better pics will show different

here is the comparison

Very good this one on the right is the one I have now color is #1 with me on choosing a male
I have had and seen so many males with wrong color to dark. and then I look for the other things I need to see in him but the right color is first for me trying to find the cream- gray- silver color to dominate the bird.

I got a few wing shots of my young CL cockerel. He still to my eye seems colorful with the ginger in his saddle but his wing is completely free of color.
