So what is up with the Club website? I've directed several folks to it and they all come back saying there is nothing there. Went to check it out myself and they're right. It doesn't appear to have been updated at all and what is there isn't nearly enough information. The site I'm referring to is crestedcreamlegbarclub.com

Do we have a webmaster?

Some of the Board is working to start a central site to direct members to newsletters, pics, contest website, helpful websites, etc until the website is completed. We lost our site designers/webmaster and haven't found another yet. We were hoping an experienced member could step in but have not had any response to any of our inquiries. Know of anyone?

There were some "test site" that were never intended for anyone to find. I think the site that Laingcroft posted was one of the test sites. The one I send people to is below, but yes we have would love for anyone that know how to do a website to volunteer as this have been our "temporary" site for 8 months now.

As no one stepped up to create a website for the club the board for now is trying to create a "crossroads" main site that will be www.creamlegbarclub.com (if I remember right) and then we can assign out the links from there (SOP information, contests, links to club documents, etc). Give us some time, we are working on it. We will post and send out a club e-mail when it is ready.

I'm not trained in web design but can do some of the pretty basic stuff. Managed to maintain our farm website for several years through free webs which is very simple. I'd be happy to give it a spin until someone with more experience can take it on.

I'll update my site and info sheet with the launch site.

That would be wonderful Tru!!! Get in touch with Kathy (ChicKat), she has been keeping the "temorary" sites up and running. I am more than willing to run one branch off the main site, maybe a photo gallery as people are asking about availability of photos. But I am in the middle of trying to move so I can't do the whole website although I'm sure I could figure it out if I had time. Anyway she can give you the details of what we are thinking of doing.

In our recent survey, some folks thought that our contest site was the only one -- and I guess folks don't check the calendar -- which contains, ending dates for -- officer nominations, quarterly meetings etc....

Good insight that this area needs some working on. :O)
Hang on for a bit longer -- I expect some good progress by autumn....

Oh, and I forgot to say that a lot of things -- article archives, photos, discussions etc are in Google Groups-- It is a group for Cream Legbar Club members that is named the 'clubhouse'.

Here is the best CL hen on the planet to the best of our knowledge. -- (you can see her in numerous places on the internet, but you may not know the whole story). Cream Legbar Club members - in the clubhouse, under Publications in the newsletter Volume 1 No 2 is an interview with her owner Jill Rees. This picture will be on the new CL Club website.....

What catches my eye first is the poise, then length of back, angle of tail, yellow of legs...what a beautiful hen.

Maybe it is the angle of the picture, but the breast area indicates more orange than cream to me, still a beautiful bird.

Breast area should be "salmon" not cream, but I agree I think the lighting and/or angle may be affecting the actual shade of her feathers.
