Cream Legbar Working Group: Standard of Perfection

Pics
. . . . I'd also like to get a sense of which gals have the best color eggs, as CL eggs are quite pretty. Blue eggs are a strong point of the breed. The photo below gives more color than actual. I'd say mine are faded sky blue with a hint of mint.

What beautiful eggs!
One of my three Easter Eggers lays slightly more saturated mint eggs than the other two. I think I'm going to put her in with my CL cockerel next spring for for some Easter Leggers.

redchicken9 -

What marvelous pictures of clb cockerels. JUst makes me want to go hug a chicken.

Beautiful egg basket too.

Normanack - I can just imagine blue-egg laying barred Easter Eggers..... My Easter Eggers are the friendliest and most clownish - I'm fond of pea combs too.

Sorry I've been away for awhile. Life takes over sometimes!

Still have to catch up on all the recent versions of the Standard --- great work folks!

I've also posted a first Draft of a club constitution and by-laws on the working yahoo group. If you want to view it, it is in the files section. You will have to join the group first. I set it up that way to avoid spam-bots. Also, if anyone wants to assist as a moderator, please let me know. I don't have a lot of time to monitor it on my own.

If you want to add comments, please number your document as Revision No. whatever.

Here is the web addy: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/USCreamLegbarclubworkgroup/?yguid=330562600

Oops, forgot to add that there are two forms of the Draft - one is MS Word 2010 and the other is MS Word 97-03 compatible. If you prefer to receive an email attachment, then send a PM with your email and I can forward ---- but this won't help much with seeing people's comments and/or markups.

Glad your back! Haven't been active on all the other excellent CL actions. Is this hand-in-hand with ChicKat's cream legbar club WWIT?

So will cream legbar Xs be Easter eggers or something else?

Thanks KPenly, Cooper12, Fowlman01, ChicKat, Nicalandia, for the feedback on the chick to adult post. I've only had chickens for a bit over 2 years, so Fowlman01's response on letting them age longer is probably something I needed to hear. Just wanted to do something different than the standards.

Speaking of which, will a few more individuals review the male color language, ideally showing their males in their critique (post 617, mine with photos 603)? Again thank-you, ChicKat for the first feedback, here (post 620?).

Ok, just had my first legbar babies hatch. By what I have been reading and learning, I think the two babies are both dark males. Not sure, would like everyone's thoughts please
Thanks,

Here is a different pic.

So, am I right, that they are both dark males, or females with head spots. The one chick does have a larger spot on its head, (closest ) the other has a smaller spot on the head.
