I purchased cream leg bar from green fire farms the only reason I purchased is because of the blue egg I have yet to get one disappointed that they advertise blue and all of my hands lay greenish. Any thoughts

I have a cream legbar. Her eggs are definitely more green tinted than blue. I was expecting a pure blue too, but nope. I do have to say that of all my breeds she is the sweetest and friendliest. She is always the first to run up to me and greet me when I go out to see them. If I were to only have one breed this would be it!

So are these chicken easy to pick like for kids?

Yes! I have 5 children ranging from age 2 to 12. They all each got to pick their own chicken breed and to name and call their own. My 5 year old son happens to have the cream legbar called Chocolate. She is just the sweetest thing ever. She loves to be held and snuggled and carried around. She has even laid some eggs in his lap. Not to mention she lays the most beautiful greenish/bluish large egg frequently. I would definitely recommend this breed for children.
