As the above poster said....a red silkie male, on a cuckoo silkie female would work. Both would be black downed at hatch but only the males would have a white spot on their head.
a black or blue male on silver female wouldn't really work as the difference is relying upon two sex linked alleles. The best sex link for blacks would be black male on barred female; of course the female will carry silver but that would be incidental to the barring.
I'm not sure what black star birds are but gold laced wyandotte male on silver laced wyandotte female gives the gold/silver sex linked cross; the chicks won't be black. Females will be gold laced & the males kind of messy yellow colour (& laced).
There are a few different genes which are sometimes used for sex links. Barring, silver, rate of feather growth, leg colour (Inhibitor of dermal melanin), dwarf are the most frequently used.
