Hey Everyone,

I am raising Cornish X's to sell and know others are doing the same. I didn't see a thread about this (if there is one, let me know), so I thought I'd make one. I thought we could give ideas about how we market/plan to market out meat birds. I'll give a few ideas of my own:

1. Using Craigslist to advertise.
2. We have a homeschool group that we attend and we plan to spread the word there.
3. Tear sheets on local bulletin boards.
4. Obviously, farmers markets.
5. Joining our local chamber/ business groups to get connected and network.
6. Creating joint ventures with other local businesses.
7. Using FB and having friends share a "Farm Tour" video you create, with their friends.
8. Asking everyone you know, "what do you do"? After their explanation, people's usual response is to ask you the same question.
9. Set a goal of asking 2 people a day the question in number 8 (obviously when you are around other people).
10. Comping another local business w/ chicken so they will "feature/give a shout out" to you, to their following.

Any other thoughts/ideas would be awesome to hear!

You can also advertise on Local Harvest and place flyers in health food stores.
