the victorians had little bells set up, just in case... I used to want an emergency exit to an underground room with a tv, minifridge and a PHONE! you know.. so I wasn't bored while I was waiting to be saved..

That's where the expression "dead ringer" came from. Really.

Burial. That way if they did happen to dig me back up in say 100 years by accident, someone might say, Hey look what I found!!

I must say that I really am rather tickled by that poem. I was not aware of it existence. Thank you both for sharing.

I want to be cremated. It doesn't matter if my ashes are spread, or kept in a pretty urn on the fireplace, or in a cardboard box stuck in the back of a closet. I also don't want any kind of funeral, showing, viewing, etc, for several reasons. 1) I don't want anybody coming and saying "Oh, look how fat she has gotten." or "Look how old she looks" etc. 2) I don't want thousands of my hard-earned dollars to go to some funeral home with their funeral directors and their fake sympathy trying to "guilt" my family into buying the most expensive casket and putting on this big expensive spread so they can line their pockets at the expense of my family's grief. I think that is just absolutely deplorable. I'd rather my hard-earned thousands of dollars go to my family and/or to an animal shelter where those $$$ might be able to actually do some good. 3) I am not into maudlin, so funerals just are not my style.
