Is Cotton a boy or a girl? Why are you getting rid of it? I had to get rid of my favorite chicken EVER because it was a rooster.

Cotton is a roo.. He's very sweet but I can not keep him with my other 3 (hopefully soon to be 2) because Kernal my leghorn always tries to kill him, and Cotton keeps trying to fight with my bantam wyandotte Bubba... I'd hate to see him go but I don't have a breeding pen with silkies for him.

I know how leghorns can be very mean. We had someone give us 16 "sexed" leghorn chicks. Although, we ended up with 10 of the 16 to be roosters. We still have 6, and they are the meanest. If I stick my hand in the cage they will try eating it.

My leghorn roo isn't mean at all to my family or me (he's a big cuddle bug and a house bird) he just doesn't like Cotton....

Now 1 of my girls Krispy on the other hand wow LOL She's a meany butt sometimes but she knows I can kick her butt everytime.. We sparr fight together in the back yard. I could just see her saying "Don't like touch my tail like that gawd!, touch me again I'll kill you and eat you!" Otherwise she's a sweety LOL
