We stumbled across this little fluff head in our local rural king and immediately fell in love! He/she is a crested runner and sweet as can be!

At this age...it will be mostly voice to go on...if you are hearing a "real"quack...a girl...a coughy kinda rasp waa waa ...it's a boy...tail feather is the last way to tell 10-12weeks. Super cute!

Does anyone have any advice on getting my chickens used to ducks? One of my hens is pecking at my crested pekin. Help anyone?
They need to be in separate areas, crested have no skull under that crest just fatty tissue and can be injured by a chicken pecking so I'd separate by temp fencing and give all a chance to get use to each other, anything that looksdifferent to a chicken is fair game I under stand they will go after Silkies and Polish too because of the crest and feathers on top of their heads.

Thanks! We seperate them today and we will probably just keep them that way!
