crested duckling from non-crested parents??

Is it possible? Neither parents were crested. Father came from Privett Hatchery and mom is a Muscovy...I am so stumped, it really looks like hes got a small little crest on the back of his head.

Crest has a very variable expression. Can be huge gigantic triple bumps all the way down to 'looks smooth headed'(but is genetically crested).

Smooth headed crested ducks aren't that uncommon, have see this situation show up on here at least twice that I noticed. Probably happens far more often when there's a mixed flock containing several obvious cresteds- some smooth heads amongst them probably are crested too just not so obvious from hatching the eggs.
