Crested Pekin x Blue Swedish

Hi! An accidental cross of Crested Pekin x Blue Swedish made a great looking drake
(he really stands out in a group of Pekins) !

I love the dark slate with the rust accents. And he has the funniest tuft sticking out on one side (not a crest, really).
None of my pure Swedish have ever had that dark slate blue.

I dont know if that is a blue swedish cross...are you sure...it almost looks like a rouen cross or even a pure saxony drake?

Hi! Positive, all I have are Pekins and Blue Swedish. I try to keep them seperate, but they like to co-mingle sometimes.

Hi! I got curious and called around to find out if any of the 'crested colored' ducklings from here (sold as youngsters as cross-breeds) had the color and none do. They all feathered just blue/white or black/white.
That makes my drake even more odd.
I wonder how I could get that color again?
Pair him back with a blue Swedish girl?
