For many years I have wanted a phoenix with crest and feathered feet. My bird's have produced many beautiful offspring, but never what I hope for. This year's offspring look very hopeful. Below is a picture of one of my roosters and one of my hens.

Below are two youngsters, the only two youngsters to survive a predator filled wet year. Knowing that these would be the last two I kept them penned and covered. They look great and I think I finally have my Phoenix as I wish.

Lucky me, a cockerel and pullet.

I do not try for birds with a longer tail. Here in Tennessee clay a longer tail is soon a mess. This one has a deal about three feet long with a tiny crest and feather legs. My spring the saddle feathers will be dragging the ground and the tail will be somewhat longer.

Thank you. This this last one is a bird that has sultan and silky great great grandparents. He is unique in that he has the devil comb.

The power went off today. I got the electricity back on, but I'm having to stay up to make sure it doesn't go off again. I brought my best Phoenix into the house not wanting him to have a frostbitten comb. There's chicks in the coop and I don't want them to die.
