That's good! It seems like my creve is ALWAYS molting, however she always lays!!!! Her whole neck is bare, and her back is starting to molt, too. I hope this isn't permanent!!!!!!! If so, I might have to get rid off her. Yes, she really is that ugly. If she was really friendly, I might reconsider it, but she's one of the most skittish birds in the flock!
Have you checked her for mites? They should only molt once, once per year. If she does have mites, that would affect her laying as well. I have two auctions (on eBay) and one here on BYC...both for 9 eggs....that will ship Monday. Every one of my girls is laying, every day!

I know what ya mean, my bantam creveis are laying like crazy, also have them on the ol ebay.
That chicks earlier does look crevecouer, very rare to get a solid black polish from any hatchery. Some do have them, but are rare.
Everyone keeps saying how skittish theirs are, I am wondering what's going on there, all of mine have always been the most gentle and friendly of all the 350+ bantam that I have, you can bend down and pic any of them up at any moment you want, even the roos. I dont spend any time with them....may just be a large fowl thing, yall need some banatms, LOL
Also yes, chicken boy, if your birds are always in molt, you have something going on with them, there should only be 1-2 molts a year, and never bare neck style molts.
I'm thinking mites or excessive breeding on her by the males.
