By our outdoor brooder, we have a pretty large pile of decomposing leaves. Every
Fall, we blow all of the fallen Maple Tree leaves into that one pile.
Now, in Washington, decomposing leaves is a hotspot for Crickets. So in that pile, there is a literal million crickets in there.

Now the questions I have are:
Is it ok for chicks and/or chickens to eat crickets?
And is it healthy?

Yes

Let the chickens do the compost turning for you, especially if you already have some good compost soil with critters in it. Those chickens will turn 12 inch pile of leaves into a 4" pile in a week or two if they have a good cricket protein source. Congrats! You hit the jackpot.
