Can Crickets be a treat?

By our outdoor brooder, we have a pretty large pile of decomposing leaves. Every
Fall, we blow all of the fallen Maple Tree leaves into that one pile.
Now, in Washington, decomposing leaves is a hotspot for Crickets. So in that pile, there is a literal million crickets in there.

Now my questions are:
Is it ok for chicks and/or chickens to eat crickets?
And can it be healthy for them?

Wait there's crickets in WA? Lol I've never seen one here... was very happy about that because I used to live in CA and we had crickets everywhere, you could hear them serenade you inside your bedroom.

Oh that must not have been enjoyable.. Luckily our crickets are pretty far from our house so we don't have to listen to them, and they are pretty quiet...

I have a spot in my yard with hundreds of crickets congregate during the summer.
I let my chickens out to free range an hour before sunset and that's a favorite spot.
They also like grasshoppers.
When mornings are cool, I sometimes find a sluggish grasshopper and hand feed to a lucky hen. GC

My chicks loves grasshoppers and crickets. It seems to be their favorite snack. I have been free ranging them, supervised only in the evening. They seemed to the enjoy live bugs a lot!
