I work at a place that sells chicks and we got some silverlaced wyandottes in. I wanted a couple and knew they would be gone before I got off work so I grabbed a couple and took them to the back where we have a space for sick/hurt/overstock chicks. Well in the hurt bucket was a chick with something wrong with it's leg (will get pictures if I can, she doesn't hold still well). Looks like something wrong in what I would call the elbow area. She can put weight on it but cannot close her claw. I felt bad for her and took her home as well. She gets around the container I keep them in. She eats and drinks good and does fine with the other chicks. I think she is a Barre Rock but not sure yet. My current flock consists of 2 Rhode Island Reds and 1 Naked neck both from last spring. My question is what do I need to worry about with her as she gets older. The perches in my coop are just 6 inch shelves so she could perch on them. Any thoughts or ideas on how I can make life a little better for her? Thanks for any responses.

I think it might be to late for my little chick. I know she has been this way for at least a week. I am doing stretches for her so hopefully it will finally get back to where it needs to be.
