Id say it would be better to buy colored out birds to be safe if you wish to have pure bred pheasants... but thats just my opinion

Get into contact with Kurt Landig. He imported some years back. I will not post his contact info here, but he is on the gbwf forum, gbwf facebook, & Facebook Aviculturists forum. He is headed back overseas for possibly another import.

I don't have a recent list from the USFWS, but the freedom of information act allows the private sector, with good reason, to review the species and numbers that were brought into the US and by whom. Kurt was the last that I know of.

As mentioned, pure Goldens are as hard to come. Don't expect to pay "swap" prices for good birds!!

Actually you replaced all the photos- IMO it would be better to add new pictures and not delete the old so you can compare how they are developing.

A tip for posting pictures of birds you want critiqued, would be to post full body photos of the bird standing naturally.

This thread originally had photos of 3 seperate birds. There are other threads- where this same bird has been critiqued, so please see those threads for my comments on it.

Would it be OK to show them in 4-H? How can I tell if they are Pure?
