I would really appreciate any critiques/suggestions on how to best protect my hens in this coop/pen I constructed. It is my first time raising hens. I will be replacing this bottom poultry netting with hardware cloth up to 4 feet height, as well as the apron. What other changes would you make? I live next to a creek/wooded area where we have foxes, bobcats, coyotes. The hens will be locked up inside the coop every night.

Thank you!

:welcome

In the last picture are those nest boxes above the roost?

If so I would move them so they are lower than the roost. The hens will want to sleep as high as they can get. Sleeping in the nests will make for poopy eggs.

You may want to use hardware cloth over everything. Weasels and rats can get through any opening bigger than 1/2".

No, the roosting bars are well above the nesting boxes. You just can’t see them in the photo. Thank you!

That's a pretty cool playhouse/coop...how big is it, in feet by feet by feet?
Pen is pretty awesome too, and should be fine for larger preds,
but the metal mesh(2x4"?) and the gaps in framing could allow weasel/mink types(creek dwellers) in.

Ditto Dat^^^

Oh, and Welcome to BYC! @sarus75
Where in this world are you located?

It's easy to do, (laptop version shown), then it's always there!
