Your coop is very similar in size and design to mine. (We have three - they each house between 2 - 4 birds) After our chicks were grown, we constructed a run (and access to it from all three coops) that was about 8 x 30. I clean each coop, daily, and have sand on the bottom portion of the coop/run combo. It isn't too much of a chore. I think that you will be able to clean and gather eggs just fine with your current coop. -just make certain they have plenty of air/ventilation (as mentioned already). Nice job on your coop!

Thanks Mikedero, I wanted you to know that after the initial feedback I installed a large vent on the top of both sides of the coop, its just not visible in the picture. Also the hens will be allowed out of the coop during the day.
