Critique my set up please?

Akovia, I had already found a solution (even if it's just temporary) that is very similar to yours. I used a piece of the leftover vinyl flooring. I need to use some type of adhesive to attach it to the lid so it doesn't get blown up but after the heavy rain we had yesterday there was no water or moisture in the nesting boxes.

I got nearly everything finished. There are still a few things I would like to do but they are pretty minor. We got our birds moved in this evening and they seem to be doing well.

This is the north end of the coop (with the door). The low end of the roof faces the west.

The outside of the nesting box can be seen in the post above this one. I can add another set of three boxes this same size if I need to later.

I came up with these latches using springs to keep tension on the roof. I wanted them easy enough my 6 year old daughter could open them but still stout enough to keep the lid secure. This seems to work fine.

This is the south side of the coop that leads to the run.

An interior shot. You can see my daughters drawing for the hens on the right side wall.

This is looking to the south into the run. I used camo netting on the south fence to give some more shade.

Looking from the south back towards the coop. I'm hoping the aviary netting will keep out any aerial predators.

I welded a 5' X 5' gate. Originally I did this so I could drive our lawnmower in there if I needed to. After learning more about chickens I'm thinking that won't be necessary.

I'm hoping I've thought of everything but as with most things I'm guessing I have missed several things that will become obvious with experience.
