Crochet Granny Square Swap - Spring 2009 (Sign Ups ClOSED!!)

Well I whip up a few more hexagons. I'm really not that complusive. LOL.
I just wanted to get started on the afghans. Had some ideas I wanted to try and just couldn't wait to get started! LOL! Have one almost finished so 3 more to go!

The worsted weight is a bit heavier and really the "average" to work with, that would be your meduim range size for the cottons and the acrylics, the finger weights are really thin and soft, typically the baby yarns, much thinner yarn than the worsted weight. You will use, of course, a small hook with the finger yarns and a bigger with worsted weight and, of course, the size of your work will be smaller with finger weight as opposed to worsted weight. You go up from worsted to the chunky, bulky, textured...yarns and down from finger to the threads, not sure what's in between. WHat are you planning to make?

O thanks Darlene. I have a pattern for a market bag and it says fingered weight but I dont know if I can use those small hooks , that doesnt sound too cool.. I guess I will have to try and see if I can.

Gosh yes, mid February already!

Haven't started my squares yet, trying to take 1 swap at a time. Working on MYB and Spring quilt blocks right now lol.
