I didn't take my hookin stuff with me to the ladies retreat, I didn't think I would have much time to work on it. Since I got home been finishing up on working on getting tax stuff done for accountant tomorrow. It's all done, That's all behind me now, Thank God.

Whew! I got my 30th done last night. Stayed up to 1am, but I was on a roll!

Scrambled- how do you want these sent to you? I was going to put them in a box and include a self addressed label and money for postage. Or is there a better way to do it? I don't think they'll fit in a large envelope. I need to go ahead and mail them while I'm thinking about it or I'll end up with all 30 of my own!

I'm off now to finish an afghan for a friend and then 5 smocked dresses for the nieces. Of course my siblings all had to have girls. I kept pulling for a boy in there just to keep the sewing to a minimum, but noooooo... five little stair step girls. Sigh. I have until the end of May for that one though. Wish me luck!

Ya'll can send them whichever way is the easist for you but please send me some way to get them back to you, like a sase or postage and I can send those back in the little priority boxes the post office provides, just ask them what the postage will be...got your squares today Teri...they are really pretty but you forgot to send to me the sase...seems like you said you were making some more, if so, you can send it then. Ya'll have 30 days to get them finihsed but that should be a breeze for fast hookers like ya'll, lol!!

Hi Illinois Kelly!! Believe it or not but some of these hookers are recently self taught so you could do it to, lol!! In fact, I think there are lots of books with step by step instructions, lol!! Imagine that...how to hook in 28 different places and positions, lol!!!!!

...and chickenranchwife...I can see where a LADIES retreat would probably not be the most fun place to hook, hahahha!!!

OH MY GOSH!!!! NO WAY!!!! Is that a real book? I think someone needs to photoshop a chicken on her shoulder or in her lap.....no wait....a chicken on her shoulder and a cat in her lap. Where in the world did you find that Scrambled?

Kelly there is a step by step tutorial w/ pictures that I learned how to do my Granny Squares. I knew the very basics, but can't read the darn patterns. I like the step by step instructions b/c she would tell you to put your work down and go get a hershey bar, then work a little more and she'd say to go get ice cream, so unfortunately it wasn't very good hooker diet for me. LOL!!!!!!

Thanks Grace. And the layer part just takes lotsa practice and 4 years of classes. (Now people are going to think we're talking about laying! Uh!! Maybe I should rephrase that. Then again. Nahhhh! LOL!)

Apparently not Jacie, very sad, very sad. So many people take offense at so many things. Let's tone down the hookin folks before the thread gets locked down and I am left trying to figure how to finish this swap without the thread, sorry...have a great day everybody and work on your squares, it's April first, you have now have about 4 weeks.

Not sure what's going on here, but it is extremely sad, not to mention depressing, that the last fun thread on this board is now being attacked as well.

On the bright side tho, looks like everybody is a moderator now, lol.
