Thanks! I have to have it finished by the 16th. I have another one I need to finish by the 31st, but I am going to do a much less tight stitch for that one. I didn;t know what I was getting myself into with this one!!!

Hi. The things shown here are beautiful. Who would have thought I'd find crochet friends on a chicken site?

I hope to make an afhan to donate to a fundraising event in October. I'm travelling in September and think crocheting will be a good way to spend time in airplanes and airports. I don't want to make granny squares or other things that require cutting, because they won't let a little old lady with a bag of yarn on an airplane with a pair of scissors. If anyone would like to post instructions for an afhan that doesn't require much cutting, I'd be grateful.

September will be the first time I'll be away from my chicks. They'll be five months old then. Might I miss the first egg? They are barred rocks.
