crock pot incubation

My great grandma used to do it in a crockpot and it sounds cool - does anybody know how?
 
Hmm...I'm too much of a worrier to have tried it myself, but I remember seeing some threads on the BYC about it. Have you tried doing a search?
 
I tried but it didn't really bring anything up
 
This is the thread I remember seeing, but it's with an electric skillet, not a crock pot.

Okay, instead of doing the whole incubation process in one how about just the hatching part? I put a couple of chicken eggs in with my duck eggs in the Tophatch. Tomorrow is day 18 for the chick eggs so I need to do something quick. If it would be too hot on low, how about putting a heating pad in there with a towel on top of that? I'm scrambling for ideas. Can't afford to get another incubator right now and didn't stop to think

about the last few days and how the humidity is different and there's no turning. So.....
