crooked beak fix?

Ok so i have a young hen that has a crooked beak. Her top beak is off set from her bottom beak. She eats and drinks just fine and seems happy. Im worried though that as she grows it might get worse. She can't close her mouth completely so i was wondering if clipping the very tip off would help fix it since that seems to be the reason for it being off set. How should i go about doing this? I dont want to hurt her or traumatize her so if anyone has any suggestions it would be very appreciated.

I love my chickens but a vet is out of the question.

You could do a search on crossbeak and read how people care for these birds. Sometimes they trim beaks, but if she is eating and drinking fine, you may not have to. I don't know of any other reason to trim it.
