I have one chick that has a crooked beak. It isn't to bad and she seems to be able to eat and drink OK.

Is there anything I should or can do to help her?

It is the lower beak and stick out to the left of the upper beak about a quaeter of an inch from the end.

She is two weeks old.

She is suppose to be a RIR, but she is completely white!

Thanks,

Jimmy

Crossbeaked birds CAN live a happy normal life, but it will likely get worse as she gets older, so it may end up so bad that she cannot eat or drink properly. You will have to watch her very closely, likely will have to trim her beak often, and she should live in a flock where she will NOT be used for breeding...whether that's at your house, or someone else's, that is very important, as most cases of crossbeak are genetic.

White! I think you've got something else besides a RIR, they feather out redish brown. Sorry to hear about her beak, hopefully it won't get worse. Good luck!
