So, I helped a chick out of an egg last week after 48 hours of being stuck inside his egg with no progress. As a result he had splayed legs, curled foot, wry neck, couldn't turn himself over or even sit up - as you can see, after a lot of hobbling and many chick shoes, this is how he is today. It's Day 6 out of the egg now, though his growth is more like a 2-3 day old chick. He didn't eat for the first 4 days or so. For the past few days I was giving him a mush of starter, nutritional yeast and yogurt from a silver spoon! He'd turn his beak up at dry food. Thankfully chicks learn so fast and today he's been digging into the dry food. Whew!
I still give him water from a bottle cap though, can't be so sure with him stumbling about like a drunkard. Today he's goose stepping around his box, he was so used to having hobbles on. It's pretty funny lol.

The middle toe is still crooked.. half the time it's a little crooked but he's standing on it correctly, the other half it's turned a bit so he's putting weight on the side of the toe. Should I tape it again? The problem with yesterday's taping, is that i only taped the middle toe so by the end of the day it was slipping off and wasn't as straight as it was originally.. :/
