Crooked toes on feather footed bantam

I am thinking of making a boot for my silkie but I am afraid of the tape sticking to the feathers. What have you done for a boot on a chick with feathered feet.

I did it for a silkie. I cut a small piece of a credit card and used bandaids to hold it. It was a little tough getting off, but it did come off. I only had to have him wear it for a little over a day and the problem was fixed.
