Crop full of chicken scratch, not emptying?

Is there something in the yard/coop/run they could be getting into?

Aside from the usual crop impactions I had a hen that decided to eat straw. It took almost a month to get that to work through her. I used digestive enzymes to help break it up.

I also had a hen with an impacted gizzard. She had eaten an old .22 shell casing.
Good morning, I was wondering where did you buy the digestive enzymes and how much did you give. I have digestive enzymes caps for myself, but not sure if that's what I could use.

Thank you

I got mine from Walmart the green bottle called spring valley

I’d open the pod up and dump all the medicine out and I’d mix it into my chickens food after he ate. Only once a day for me seemed to work. I also gave him some grit to help with digestion as well and that seemed to clear out his crop completely

I used one I also had for myself that contained cellulase which is good for breaking down indigestible materials like grasses. I just popped it in her beak. I was not giving her hard foods because her crop was already impacted and more hard/solid food wouldn't help her.

My girl had a big wad of straw so I gave her one a day until it started to break up. Use your best judgement for your situation.
