Crop full of liquid

i have a 7 week old showgirl with a swollen crop that feels like a balloon. She has her eyes closed and isn't very active. What should I do?

What do you feed her?
Is the crop emptying over night?

She eats non medicated feed, some scratch, watermelon, mealworms. I just noticed this today. she does have access to grit as well.

Feeding a complete feed only really is the best.
Stop all treats and double check the crop first thing tomorrow morning.
Report back as to if it is empty or still full.


How is her poop?
Have you have any trouble with coccidiosis in your flock recently?

Will do. Her poop is runny. She has always had runny poop. The other chickens are fine. No coccidiosis that I'm aware of. Isn't that bloody stool?

No not necessarily.
Runny poop can be a sign of it too.
Can you get a few photos of her poop?

Maybe I should mention that she seems quite small for her age. I don't think she is growing like the others.

Coccidiosis could be preventing her from getting the proper nutrition to grow correctly.
