Cross beak?

Is this cross beak and can it occur overnight? Yesterday I moved half of my chicks to an outside cage, and did not see this at all. I kept the smaller ones in the house still and reduced them to one huge bin. I did not see this. Could it be an injury instead? She had escaped the box and chirping sitting on another box like she was lost.

It is cross beak - by the look of the upper beak it has not started recently.
