Cross Beaked or over grown?

Hi! I have a young rooster here. I noticed he can't close his beak fully and it sits open like this. The top is also broken. I have to clean his mouth occasionally because he gets food stuck where it opens and it hardens.

He was hatched April 1st. So he's still young, crows some days. Is it cross beak? Is it something else? Would trimming the curved tip help him? How would I trim it? His beak seems weak, or brittle. He's very hard to catch so these photos are the best I can get atm

It doesn’t look like cross-beak, I think it’s just overgrown. How is the top broken? You can find information on trimming his beak here.

It used to be pointed but not it's flat and looks kinda chipped off

If you don’t have the tools mentioned in the article you can just use nail clippers to trim his beak.
