Cross-Billed Duck and Winter Temps

I would really be concerned about this duck in the winter. You, like here, have months of zero or below zero. Do you have a place for it, like a garage or something, where it can be kept at least at 32F or around that?

I just can't imagine anything worse than a frostbit tongue.

One of my friends here who doesn't live too far from me had a duck with a similar situation (although hers was an injury from a raccoon) and the duck made it through okay.

I don't have a garage or anything similar. I live in a trailer, so space is at a premium (even though I currently have four muscovy juveniles, one lone chick, and ten 3 month old chickens in here, plus two geese overnights). Worse comes to worse, if absolutely necessary, I'll bring them in, but ducks are messy and I really don't want to have to.

Maybe he'll be smart enough to stick his head under his wing if his tongue gets cold!
