Cross breed colouring?

Is there any way to tell what cour ducklings will result from a cross breeding?

We have a buff orpington drake (our only drake) and 3 different Swedish blues and would love to know if there's any way to tell what colours we might get.

Read her article. It was over my head but I love crossing my ducks and being surprised at the outcome. They are all pretty.

I believe you have a sex-linked cross which will result in girls which will show the sex-linked buff and boys which will not. I think you will get male ducklings which will look like a blue or silver Swedish and female ducklings that will be Lavender, Lilac, or maybe White (silver)and Swedish looking. The duck in my avatar is a silver female. Four of the ducklings below were hers. The two blue Swedish looking ones (back left) were the boys and the two other (right side) were the lavender girls. My girls had sex-linked brown. Yours will have sex-linked buff which is an even lighter brown.

This is the lavender duckling a few days older. Below, they are more grown up.
