Cross breeding Quail...

    never done this before. Only hatched eggs twice. Would putting a California roo into a cage with 4 Coturnix hens work? Would the eggs get fertilized and be good to go? What would come out :)????

    Sarry not going to work! you will have to stick with the American species of quail,and even then you get sterile chicks. Try a California Valley with a Texas blue scail or a bob white. Do post picks if you deside to do it.

    Bobwhites and Coturnix can produce mules.
