I am hoping to acquire some info about what the birds will look like if I cross certain breeds, will somebody please help me out. Here are the crosses:

1. Speckled Sussex/ Rhode Island Red

2. Chocolate Grey Game/ Spangled Game

3. RIR/ Buff Orpington

4. Speckled Sussex/ Buff Orpington

I have seen pictures of RIR/BO, and they are very pretty. They mostly had the bigger body type of the BO with a redder color, but I am sure it could go the otehr way too.

I have crossed black and partridge, and gotten so many different combinations, mostly variations of the partridge color with some black, or black with a bit of brown. What I am saying is it can really vary, but if you do it with several batches or even several chicks you will notcie a pattern.

Quote:
1. I'm guessing mostly reds with black tails, little to no hint of mottling whatsoever. white and yellow legs.

2. gold duckwing and perhaps fawn duckwing roosters, hens will all be greys in whatever pattern the female is. again no spangling showing as its recessive (unless the rooster carries 1 gene for it, then about half of them will be).

3. probably a redder shade of buff.

4. again a redder shade of buff. same deal on the speckling as the spangling.

Here are some pics of Speckled Sussex X Buff Orps:
