Cross breeding?

hey guys, just wondering will my silkie roosters cross breed with my isa brown and australorp? He is MUCH smaller then them and is also on the bottom of the pecking order at the moment. He is about 4 months old, and i don't believe he will grow much bigger.

Yeah he absolutely can breed with them. They're the same species. I have had a Millefleur Pekin rooster mate with a large Warren hen successfully and then I got the hybrid between the 2 in the next egg she laid. But at 4months (16 weeks) he still has some more time to grow since they usually with roosters stop at 25/27 weeks I've found. He might only just have reached sexual maturity so I wouldn't expect him to mount the hens just yet. I recommend that if you are going to hatch these possible fertile eggs. Wait until he is about 30 weeks old since he will be ready by then and also be at the top of the pecking order within the flock.
